Activity programme
We don’t focus on education alone; we want our students to enjoy their time with us and immerse themselves in the UK culture.
Alongside our morning tuition we run excursions and activities, ensuring a fantastic blend of fun and study. You have the opportunity to meet students from all over the world, make memories and form long-lasting friendships. With a wide range of trips to suit all interests, there’s something to appeal to everyone.
Key Activity and Excursion Welfare Aspects
Severnvale always adheres to a strict policy of staff to student ratios whilst in the residential building, on activities and excursions. All our support staff are trained and vetted to work with young learners.
Thorough risk assessments and guidelines are conducted for all our activities and are actioned by our activities team.
A qualified first aider is always present during activities and whilst out on excursions.
Free time on excursions is carefully arranged, with clear boundaries for where students can explore. Excursion leaders ensure meeting times and places are well established.
SPORTS & LEISURE COMPLEX
We offer a wide range of activities that make full use of the School’s outstanding facilities, including a 25-metre deck level pool, tennis courts, three-court sports hall, and an array of excellent grass playing pitches for a number of sports.
ENGLISH JUNIOR AMBASSADORS
Accompanying our international young learners are local school students. They are there to encourage the use of English throughout our activities and excursions. Our carefully selected ambassadors are enthusiastic about sharing their interests and insights into English customs and culture in a fun and supervised environment. A great way to make new friends, which in turn becomes an unforgettable part of the experience.
